Theatre Impressario!

Cinderella, a British panto

Press coverage

A panto, short for pantomime, is a traditional form of family show in the UK, but largely unknown here in the USA. To the uninitiated, it is hard to describe. It involves lots of silliness, lots of singing, lots of shouting, lots of laughing and just a little candy throwing.

For little more reason than because it seemed like a good idea, I decided that this was just what New England needed! That was in the Fall of 2007. I then set about first writing, organizing and finally directing Cinderella as a British panto. The show was very successfully and highly profitable. But the most wonderful part was that more than forty people agreed to be a part of it and that more than four hundred people agreed to pay money to see it – all because I thought it was a good idea! How crazy is that?
